The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner / Performance Reporting Specialist to join the QBE Insurance team on a permanent basis. As a key team member of the Finance Partnering and Planning Team, this role will support senior stakeholders to make financially sound decisions based on best-practice advice and recommendations. This role will prepare accurate, efficient management reporting and insightful financial support to executive on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Within this role, you’ll be working with a team and organisation in which there is significant buy-in and willpower with the stakeholders you’ll be seeking to influence.
On a regular basis, this role will see you:
- Be actively involved in the monthly management and Group performance reporting and other ad hoc reporting routines, ensuring timely, accurate and properly supported calculations, financial analysis and commentary.
- Support the divisional reporting process including coordination, collaboration and engaging stakeholders, consolidating and providing insightful information to relevant stakeholders.
- Support to analyze financial data and create models/presentations for decision support.
- Support collaboration efforts with cross functional teams to address and resolve challenges.
- Identify and initiate automation/enhancements of system / process capabilities to help deliver future outlook models and reporting capability.
You’re a well-versed Finance Business Partner and/or Performance Reporting Specialist with relevant qualifications (including CA/CPA) and demonstrated success consulting within a Finance or General Insurance environment, with at least 5 to 7 years’ experience in an accounting role. You have strong skills in spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures, as well as demonstrated ability to provide support across senior management structures within portfolio and to direct reports. Your interpersonal skills are a strong attribute, with an ability to provide advice, guidance and recommendations at the most senior levels of large and complex organisations. You are a self-starter with a natural curiosity and keen interest on leveraging technology to uplift reporting capabilities. You may have a strong MS PowerBI knowledge and capabilities.
