This a newly created role plays a key as the conduit between Finance and its internal customers through their business partnering and relationship management activities.
The Finance business partner will leverage their knowledge, commercial experience, and insights to support the business with its operational and strategic business decision making to drive improved business performance and align this to finance service delivery models.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working collaboratively across the organisation and various Business Units to leverage financial, sector and commercial insights and analysis to understand potential opportunities
- Manage business performance and informs decision making through the development of insights into the key drivers of program performance through the application of models, analysis and reporting
- Produce analysis of business unit performance of achievement against financial plans including providing insight into key variances, deviations from plan and trends to inform future forecasts, identify potential risks and opportunities and understand the impact on resource and funding allocations
- Advise business units on their effectiveness in managing and forecasting project and program performance
- Partners with the business and internal stakeholders to ensure management information is consistent and clearly aligned with measuring progress against strategic objectives and priorities
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant degree qualification (e.g. Finance, Accounting)
- Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA desirable)
- Significant demonstrated experience working in Finance/Commercial functions
- Ability to engage collaboratively with all stakeholders and influence key decision makers across the organisation including senior executive management to achieve significant results and outcomes
- Knowledge and understanding of community services sector financial and commercial drivers
- Good Financial modelling and analytical skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Exceptional written skills and ability to create reports
- Continuous improvement and solution focused approach
- Positive attitude
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Willingness to travel between Centacare sites as required
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
- Valid NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
- Ability to comply with Centacare Policy COVID-19 Vaccination requirements
- Experience working with Technology One Financials system (desirable)
- Use of Tableau or MS Power BI (desirable)
