Why Sundrive? SunDrive’s proprietary technology enables the use of copper instead of silver for the solar cell electrodes. This technological breakthrough has significant benefits, including greater efficiency, lower cost, scalable supply chain and more environmentally friendly production.
SunDrive founded in 2015, is backed by some of Australia’s top venture capital firms (Blackbird, MainSequence, Virescent, Grok), tech founders and the Australian Government (CEFC, CSIRO,ARENA). SunDrive has quickly grown from a UNSW PhD project in a garage to producing the world’s most efficient commercial-sized solar cells.
We are looking for a new Finance Business Partner to join our team at SunDrive to focus on a number of new projects. You will be an integral part of our growing team and focus on the collation and preparation of project based financial information such as project budgeting, milestone report, forecasting and project risk and opportunity management.
You will work closely with SunDrive’s project teams to ensure that projects are delivered on budget and within compliance of agreed deadlines.
You will focus on:
Support the preparation of project budget financials
Collect up-to-date project financial data, improve forecast quality, and actively drive measures to achieve the project's financial target
Prepare project milestone financial reports according to requirements
Partner with project execution teams to drive continuous improvements and cost savings across projects
Provide timely and accurate financial insight for project risk and opportunity management (e.g. quantification of project delay financial risk)
Assist in the build out of our 5-year financial model and commercial roadmap
Requirements:
Strong experience in project accounting and business partnering
Robust financial understanding, including delivery, review, and analysis of financial results to support strategic decision-making
Strong analytical, financial modelling and excel skills
Proven problem-solving skills
Experience with Xero desirable, not essential
