With an internal emphasis on being at the forefront of technology solutions and business intelligence, the IT/Technology team has continued to grow and expand in its prominence within the business. As strategic projects continue to expand and delivery timetables increase, they're now looking to secure an experienced Finance Business Partner to service the Technology and Projects space.
Responsibilities (Guide, not Gospel)
Supporting the Project Finance Manager and embedded within the IT team, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Drive month-end reporting for all strategic projects;
- Preparing and posting project journals as required;
- Prepare steering committee reporting packs for all strategic projects;
- Presentation of project financial reporting;
- Prepare and maintain project budget/forecast models as required;
- Prepare reporting on budget/forecast submissions, including performance against target and variance analysis;
- Monthly reforecasting for strategic projects, both cost and benefits;
- Assistance with preparation of Project Evaluation Models, Project Business Cases and other governance artefacts as required for strategic projects and other projects as required;
- Build and maintain financial models;
- Analysis and review of project forecasts and assisting Project Managers with financial analysis of projects;
- Assisting Project Managers and other Project community members with preparation of financial summaries for inclusion in business cases and other project documentation as required; and
- Assist and provide guidance to the Project Finance Analyst and BU Accountant roles with day-to-day activities.
Your Background
- CA/CPA with at least three years of your post qualification experience having been gained in the project/technology support space (non-negotiable, we're looking for someone who has been FBP to a large Technology team);
- Experience with IT and technology vendor and operational costs and resource cost allocations/recharges;
- Strong financial modelling and business case development skills;
- Experience in a dynamic business with a track record of strong controls;
- Well developed presentation skills and strong, concise communication skills;
- Accounting experience within the financial services and/or IT industry (beneficial, but can take it or leave it as long as you've been a Technology Finance Business Partner); and
- High level ability to analyse, interpret and evaluate data.
