About The Opportunity
In this role, you will be pivotal in transforming our business. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting for our retail and wholesale operations. This exciting opportunity offers tremendous growth potential as our organisation continues to evolve. You will significantly influence systems and processes across two store environments during this critical growth period.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. ERP Systems Management:
· Maintain and manage financial data within the CIN7 ERP system and Xero.
· Ensure accurate and timely updates to inventory, sales, and financial records.
· Generate and analyse reports from the ERP system and Xero to support business decisions.
· Assist in the setup of new stores.
2. Ownership of the EOM/EOFY process:
· Manage AP processes, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
· Oversee AR functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
· Fixed Asset Register maintenance.
· Reconcile discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
· Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and categorised.
· Preparation of month end management reporting, including management reporting and supporting work papers.
· Cash flow management, forecasting and working capital management.
· Preparation of reporting to assist in the decision-making process. Expense analysis, product or channel profitability analysis, stock ageing.
· Preparation of monthly BAS, financial statements and reports. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
· Manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships, including external tax agent, bank manager and the ATO.
· Ad hoc reporting and analysis.
3. Process and Systems Enhancement:
· Continuous improvement in systems, processes, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
· Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for finance-related activities.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise cost management and operational efficiency.
4. Human Resources Support:
· Assist with HR functions such as payroll processing, superannuation, leave, employee records management, and benefits administration.
· Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
· CPA/CA qualified.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
· Proven with 5+ years’ experience in accounting roles and enjoy working within fast-paced and high growth environments. Preferably in a retail and /or wholesale environment.
· Proficiency in using ERP systems, particularly CIN7.
· Strong knowledge of Xero accounting software.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Someone who has been involved with systems implementation or process improvement projects would be advantageous.
