My client provides financial and business management skills for various key industries in the creative and design sector. This includes management functions from finance and accounting to IT and marketing services.

This pivotal role based in Surry Hills will see you be responsible for all aspects of the accounting, financial reporting, and tax reconciliation.

This role will be client fronting and in essence the representation of all things finance for existing and new clients.

Duties include:

• Oversee the day-to-day operation and management of the finance team (Management Accountant, Project Accountant, Credit controller and payroll)
• Identify and implement improvements in efficiencies and processes across the finance and accounting department whilst ensuring integrity of financial information
• Preparation of monthly and annual management reports for 7+ clients including comprehensive reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
• Business partner with clients providing finance advice where necessary
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS's and FBT returns
• Work with Directors/Bankers re all finance requirements for the business
• Preparation of Annual Expense, Capital and Cash Flow budgets
• Tracking actual against budget/forecast and perform and report variance analyses.
• Preparing financial year-end pack for external accountants and attending to their queries.

Skills:

• CA/CPA
• 5 - 8 years' experience in a professional services environment / design/ architecture/fit out
• Preference will be given to candidates who have dealt with different clients / projects
• Candidates from a project-based environment preferred

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH
