AddressGoodman Masson have partnered with a leading Banking business to assist with their search for a Finance Manager to join their team based in Edinburgh for an initial 5-months contract. This is a brand-new role to add additional resource for an on-going project.
This role will focus on Commercial Banking Impairments reporting across P&L and Balance Sheet & operate across the centralised impairment finance team. This is a great opportunity to develop a strong understanding in this area and will focus on BAU reporting along with delivering process improvement and development of monthly reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the month end close process for CB impairments
- Support the quarter end GDRS close process for CB impairments
- Drive forward process improvement initiatives, with support of wider team
- Support a control environment, with a particular focus on SOX controls and improvements to winder control framework
Experience & skills required:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- IFRS 9 (desirable)
- Financial Reporting - detailed knowledge of financial reporting along with previous experience of debits and credits is key
- Change - prior experience of driving forward and delivering process improvement initiatives will be beneficial
- Excel skills - strong with formulas
