Finance Manager - Manufacturing
Work Location: Gladstone, Queensland
In this role you will be responsible for the financial reporting and controlling activities of the new purpose-built electrolyser manufacturing facility at Gladstone, Queensland. You will be part of a newly formed, dynamic and exciting team supporting the global energy transition, by manufacturing Australian-made electrolysers for green hydrogen production. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a quick but critical thinker, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key accountabilities will include:
Perform the month-end financial statement close (FSC) process for the electrolyser manufacturing business unit
Deliver robust and timely financial and management reporting to stakeholders, including provision of insightful analytical commentary
Develop, monitor and analyse manufacturing financial KPIs, including overhead allocation and burden rates, to ensure accurate recognition of production costs
Collaborate with other departments to develop Bill of Materials and other standard costing frameworks
Act as subject-matter-expert for the implementation of SAP Manufacturing module
Manage the quarterly and annual forecasting processes
Ensure the accuracy of accounting in accordance with Group Accounting Policies under IFRS. Deliver annual statutory financial statements, acting as the primary focal point statutory audits, as well as for the business unit’s annual and interim Group audits
Design, implement and maintain an efficient system of internal controls over finance-related processes
Continually identify and deliver finance process improvement initiatives
Actively promote a safe working environment
Qualifications and skills required:
CA or CPA qualified
Minimum of 7 years’ accounting experience; Manufacturing experience is essential
SAP experience preferred, including knowledge of PP, MM, FI modules
Strong understanding of IFRS. Ability to grasp complex accounting issues and communicate in a clear and concise manner
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work within tight deadlines with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility
