Hays is currently partnered with a Federal Government organisation to recruit a Finance Officer in a temporary capacity. This company is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing programs that support a better life those with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.
Your new role
This role will undertake moderately complex finance related activities and tasks within established procedures and guidance. The incumbent may have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters.
Responsibilities will include:
Facilitating transaction processing in the systems to ensure financial data is accurate and complete.
Extracting and analysing data from SAP and other financial systems to resolve enquiries.
Preparing accurate and timely management reports as required.
Providing input into the development of Standard Operating Procedures for the team, including process mapping requirements.
Working with key stakeholders to support various project initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance.
Extensive direct finance experience performing and delivering complex financial and governance outcomes.
Extensive knowledge of SAP
Ability to generate and interpret data reports
Skilled communicator, both written and verbal
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
Due to the nature of our client, for this role you MUST be an Australian Citizen

This role offers you an hourly rate of $42.54 plus super, full-time hours and an initial 12-month assignment with the possibility of an extension.
