Using your understanding and experience in accounts, you will:
- maintain accurate finance records and controls ensuring accuracy, quality data integrity and compliance with Financial Management Standards our clients Financial Management Practices Manual and internal and external audit requirements
- be flexible and adaptable through knowledge and skills transfer to provide professional services in the preparation of reconciliations and resolving discrepancies, processing of payable, receivable and other financial transactions
- prepare and process general journals
- assist with the preparation of financial performance reporting through a sound knowledge of accrual accounting and processing end of month adjustments
- provide accurate and timely financial assistance and advice based on the application and interpretation of legislation, standards and our clients policies and procedures
- contribute to a working environment which encourages professionalism, motivation, high standards, cost effectiveness, efficiency and innovation and a strong commitment to system improvements and quality customer service delivery
- achieve results through focused problem solving, knowledge sharing and willingness to try new ways of working

Skills and Experience:
- You are a team player who is self-motivated and enjoys working within a team.
- You have strong time management and prioritization skills.
- You have effective communication skills (both written and verbal) as this position engages internal and external stakeholders.
- You have a solid foundation in accounting knowledge, in particular with reconciliation and accounting principles on sub and general ledgers.
- You are highly proficient in the use of MS Excel.
- Prior work experience in a health related industry is highly beneficial.
