What you'll be doing
The Medical Oncology Clinical Trials Unit (MOCTU) at Westmead Hospital is responsible for clinical drug trials and investigator-initiated Cancer research studies. It is a long-standing unit with a large portfolio of oncology Clinical Trials and an established research team.
To manage the considerable monetary transactions and reporting, the unit requires finance personnel who can maintain and improve financial processes, provide accurate and informative financial management reporting and ensure systems and procedures support a growing organisation, whilst adhering to all statutory obligations.

Selection Criteria: * Appropriate finance related qualification and /or experience in the field of financial management.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of Oracle 11 or similar finance platforms software.
- Demonstrated efficient time management, organisational and administration skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles including accrual accounting, ATO requirements, reconciliations, general ledger journals.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously as well as within a team environment.
- Demonstrated excellent levels of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with an ability to deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
