Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our Global Finance team and be located in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to support the production of complete and accurate results for GHD Group, its subsidiaries, and the preparation of high quality financial reporting.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, you will:
- Contribute to the global statutory reporting process, ensuring timely preparation of financial statements that fully comply with accounting standards, legislative and other requirements.
- Assist in the planning and co-ordination of the year end, half-year and interim audit reviews.
- Support in the Group and Holding Company consolidations and preparation of statutory accounts, including supporting explanatory notes.
- Coordinate and assist Finance Managers and Controllers outside of Australia in the appropriate management of their local audit and statutory reporting, including supporting financial statement preparation for assigned countries.
- Prepare monthly review and maintenance of consolidation structures and eliminations, foreign exchange revaluations and group adjustments.
- Assist in review of complex global intercompany reconciliations, including resolution of queries.
- Continuously improve methods and processes for consolidation of financial data.
- Ad hoc tasks as required to support audit and reporting processes.
- Professional accounting qualifications equivalent to CPA or Chartered Accountant.
- Minimum 7+ years in similar Finance roles, either with experience in an international organisation or audit firm with international client base.
- Established communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Well organised, with an ability to plan and prioritise.
- Demonstrated technical, analytical and problem-solving skills applied with an eye for detail.
- Advanced skills in excel and microsoft office suite.
- Experience working on BST10, TM1 and Certent Disclosure Management (CDM) desirable.
