Financial Accountant

Reporting to the Finance Controller, as Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the full management of accounting function and assisting with the groups tax, banking and compliance function, together with providing support to the Financial Accounting team.Client DetailsOur client, established more than 75 years ago have an extremely strong emphasis in the transport distribution industry, and have further progressed their business throughout the world by sourcing manufacturing and supplying around the globe.DescriptionJoining a small team, 5 days in office with onsite parking, as Financial Accountant your key responsibilities for the role include but are not limited too:

• Monthly accounts preparation
• Income tax, PAYG, GST, FBT, Statutory reporting
• Preparation of accounts reconciliations
• Month end and year end closing
• Foreign currency hedging
• Coordination of annual accounts and tax preparation
• Weekly management reporting
• Adhoc work as requested by the Financial Controller

ProfileA highly organised individual with good problem solving abilities, you will approach everything you do with energy, drive, and a commitment to excellence.To be considered for the role you will meet the following criteria:

• Must be qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Previous experience in Public Practice or Financial Accounting role in a medium to large organisation
• Statutory reporting with a high level of understanding in taxation and experience in the preparation of BAS, Tax, FBT etc
• High attention to detail
• Int/Adv MS Office
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work with limited or no supervision
• Self-motivated and disciplined approach to work
