The Opportunity
Our Internal Finance team are seeking an experienced Accountant to join us on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Firm Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform the end of month procedures including the review and reconciliation of financial data
- Prepare monthly Board Reports
- Assisting with the preparation of year end reports
- Comply with Statutory obligations including lodgment of Tax Returns, Fringe Benefits Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements and other Government reporting
- Perform budget monitoring, budget development and variance analysis
- Maintain and update data in internal software systems
- Provide financial forecasts
- Finalise annual audits
- Provide ongoing assistance in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions including providing back up for these roles as required
- Assist and provide back up for importing and reconciling commissions received and disbursements
- Perform cashflow projections
- Monitoring the completion of work to ensure time restraint and deadlines are met
- Providing assistance in overall finance operations, including the development of processes and procedures to improve efficiencies
About You
- 5+ years’ accounting experience
- Eye for attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise workloads effectively
- Strong problem solving skills
- Client service mindset
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications and MYOB AccountRight
- Positive and proactive attitude
