We're currently seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to play a key role in managing our day-to-day finances and contribute to our continued success and expansion.
Metrix Group is looking for a finance professional with enjoys the variety of transactional accounting together with financial reporting and the opportunity to transform business performance. Having grown significantly in the last four years, Metrix Group is looking for fresh expertise to take the business to the next level. This role reports directly to the Managing Director and provides flexible work options (hours are Monday – Friday).

Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial reports within set deadlines
- Prepare bank reconciliations, BAS and credit reporting
- Perform weekly cash flow, sales and KPI reports
- Lead and mentor our Accounts Assistant.
- Oversee and support our accounts payable and receivable functions as well as customer invoicing and monthly statements
- Complete year-end tax reporting and audit responsibilities
- Provide financial advice, including profitability improvement and assistance with potential mergers and acquisitions
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' finance/accounting experience: Extensive background with over a decade in finance and accounting roles, demonstrating seasoned expertise.
- Understanding of accounting principles: In-depth knowledge and comprehension of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
- Previous experience in medium to large-size business: Proven track record of successfully navigating the financial landscape within medium to large-sized business environments.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions: Demonstrated ability to handle and contribute to the success of mergers and acquisitions.
- Familiarity with ERP accounting systems: Proficient in working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for efficient financial management.
- Previous involvement in lodging BAS and managing superannuation: Hands-on experience in the preparation and submission of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and proficient management of superannuation processes.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills: Strong communication abilities, both in written and verbal English.
- Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office: Proficient in utilizing a range of computer applications, with a focus on Microsoft Office.
- High-level time management and organizational skills: Adept at managing time efficiently and maintaining a high level of organizational skills.
- Team player with high self-motivation and dedication: Collaborative team player with a strong intrinsic drive and dedication to delivering results.
