IGT is searching for a Financial Accountant to join our team in Macquarie Park. Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring preparation of accurate, relevant, and timely financial information for the business.
As a Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts for the company and other financial reports (including being a key contributor to month-end close process).
Providing ongoing and ad hoc reporting for the regional business and to meet corporate requirements
Providing accounting and project assistance as required – including maintenance of fixed asset register, reconciliation of the general ledger
Preparation of cashflow forecast monthly BAS returns and annual FBT return for IGT – Australia
Preparation of monthly reports to be submitted to IGT-US, including leases and CPR (forex exposure)
Assist in the preparation of various financial data for IGT Australia management and IGT-US as required, including 10Q (quarterly), CECL (quarterly) information
Prepare and submit Bureau of Statistics forms and requests for information.
Maintain local Concur & Corporate Card program (in line with global program/policy)
Banking administrative functions
Assist in the liaison with and provision of information for both external and internal audit.
Assist in the preparation of annual income tax returns ANZ in conjunction with other staff members.
Assist with Sarbanes Oxley controls review and ensure adequate ongoing processes are in place for IGTA business cycles.
The successful candidate will possess the following experience and attributes:
Educational
Accounting degree.
Qualified ACA or CPA.
Skills & Attributes
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise workload to meet agreed deliverables.
Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to effectively contribute to a team.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role and/or environment.
Demonstrated Microsoft Excel skills.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite of products.
Exposure/knowledge of SAP or other large ERP highly advantageous.
Technically proficient in Australian IFRS (International Accounting Standards).
Knowledge of US GAAP.
