The primary purpose of this role is to assist financial accounting and management reporting within the Finance team. The role will ensure that all levels of Elantis and external stakeholders receive accurate and timely management information whilst remaining compliant.
This role will be responsible for providing accurate and timely presentation of reports to all stakeholders and provide advice on all financial accounting issues. The role is also accountable for assisting in the preparation of financial reports ensuring accurate classification of all revenue and expenditure and analysis of financial KPIs, in accordance with deadlines, statutory requirements and best practice.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Assist in the preparation of year end accounts in compliance with ASIC (and other regulatory) requirements
- Reconcile balance sheet items (monthly)
- Provide analysis on the loan book and identify areas for margin improvement
- Work with the Sales team to provide a suite of reports to help with maximising Sales performance
- Support the Monument team on pricing for large and or high risk loans
- Ensure comprehensive and up to date systems, policies, procedures provided to business, in line with operational requirements and need for appropriate internal controls
- Manage cash management processes to ensure that interest revenue is being maximised
This is a fantastic opportunity and to be considered we are seeking a min of 3 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant role, and someone who has:
- Good knowledge of statistics, reporting and analytical tools
- High numerical, data analytics capability
- Strong strategic skills to identify and assess key points, implications and provide recommendations
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of corporate financial planning, financial statement analysis, financial reporting, variance analysis, costing/profitability methodologies and business/cost drivers
