This is a financial/business accounting role reporting to the Financial Controller, Retirement & Superannuation Solutions division. Reporting directly to the Divisional Financial Controller, this role will have a crucial part to play in the success of the Retirement & Superannuation Solutions business and delivery of a world class finance function as part of global finance function. Link Group is a fast paced, and evolving business and your ability to drive change as part of the finance leadership team will be important.
This role will be supporting both Business Partners and the Financial Accountants.
The role will have a strong focus on partnering with the business finance business partners to help each area understand its financials and help support the business to drive optimal business outcomes.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Operational Management
Assist business partners with the analysis of their areas of financial responsibility
Help prepare analysis for business heads
Assist with month end close responsibilities, assisting both business partners and the financial accountant
Assist with half year responsibilities
Look to improve assigned responsibilities
Experience & Personal Attributes
3+ years financial accounting related work experience (corporate or accounting firm)
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
Strong excel skills
Preferably good working knowledge of finance systems
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Highly analytical
Excellent attention to detail
Delivery focused
Strong ownership of responsibilities
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong team player
Capable of being flexible with respect to work responsibilities
Self motivated and organised
