SalaryOur client is a well-respected and long established Australian owned industry leader in the Construction sector with modern offices located on the upper North Shore in Sydney. The current CFO is retiring after almost 18 years and herein lies an exceptional opportunity to make this role your own.
The position entails gaining an in-depth understanding of the financial position of the group and working with the Directors and Senior Management in the development and growth of the Company. To be successful, you will be a commercially, contractually and legally astute individual who has a strong working knowledge of all taxation and financial matters. You will be willing to get involved in day-to-day operational and strategic discussions and keen to ad value to the Finance function in the longer term.
Specific duties include:
Financial Control and Reporting:
To be considered you will have a minimum of 5 years aligned experience - any prior experience in the Construction sector whilst not essential, would be highly regarded. As the current CFO also acts as Company Secretary, experience in this capacity would also be ideal - alternatively, you will have interest and ability to take on this role in the longer term.
The ideal commencement for this role will be September / October for a handover with the current incumbent. Please note the position is full time office based with parking provided.
Salary guide is from $150,000 - $200,000 + Super depending on experience.

- Payroll assistance as required
- Assisting with project reporting
- Overseeing company budgets
- Monthly management reporting
- Annual financial reporting and audit requirements
- Tender assistance as needed
- FBT
- Company tax
- GST
- Payroll tax reconciliation
- Workers compensation reconciliation
- Weekly annual group tax compliance
- Annual insurance renewal
- Insurance claims
- Risk management insurance
