Our company specializes in the manufacture, supply & distribution of high quality industrial products. We are seeking an experienced sheet metal tradesman to join a passionate team in a busy manufacturing workshop the Newcastle area.
Tasks will include but not limited to:
Fabrication of switchboards, enclosures as well as light fabrication - folding, cutting, welding (MIG,TIG), polishing, etc.
Essential Criteria:

• Trade qualified sheet metal worker/fabricator.
• Must be able to work with or without drawings (read & interpret technical drawings).
• MMAW, TIG and MIG welding skills.
• Experience with S/S, Aluminium, mild steel fabrication.
• Ability to work un-supervised, with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail.
• Driver's license with own reliable transport
• Strong experience with power and hand tools
• Polishing experience
• Have the ability to utilize metal working machinery
• Must be organized, punctual, have a positive attitude and be well presented
• Excellent Interpersonal / communication skills
• Ability to work conscientiously and show initiative

Desirable Criteria:

• Computer knowledge.
• Able to read drawings, prepare sketches for CAD Drawings.
• Program & operate CNC machinery

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay
A current drivers licence and a reliable vehicle is required.
