SUMMARY
We are currently looking for a candidate who is wanting to follow their dream to work in the engineering industry as a Fitting & Turning Apprentice and would enjoy the idea of working for a global brand.
While working alongside experienced tradespeople you will develop the skills to provide maintenance service work and troubleshoot issues related to common plant equipment such as pumps and valves across a variety of plants to ensure plants operate reliably.
A core element of the role will be to ensure gas cylinder pack maintenance is completed promptly and general site maintenance is completed when pack maintenance work is complete.
You will be hosted with BOC Limited who are a leading global gases and engineering company that supply gasses and equipment to many sectors including heavy industry and medical environments, based in Wetherill Park.
Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Fitter & Turner and earn your MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning).

WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Our client is ideally looking for a school leaver or someone looking to leave school who enjoys problem solving, is mechanically minded and really enjoys learning. A pre-apprenticeship or Cert 2 in Engineering would be highly regarded.

Strong attention to detail
Good maths skills
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol screen and Police Check
