About the team
Within Customer Asset Maintenance business sits our Rollingstock Maintenance team consisting of 170 employees. They play a key role in ensuring we deliver safe, reliable and presentable trains for the people of Queensland.
With a growing investment in rail, it is an exciting time to join the team and be a part of the changing landscape of SEQ.
About the role
Working in a team of 10 to 20 team members, you will help ensure we meet peak availability and provide safe reliable trains by carrying out safety critical maintenance on our city fleet including brake testing and maintenance of the CCTV security system as well as repairs to electronic control systems on the trains. In addition, you will assist with fault detection repairs and carry out electronic, computer and Programmed Logic Controller (PLC) related repairs.
We have two groups, Heavy Maintenance focusing on overhauls/component change outs and Light Maintenance focusing on inspecting and repairing.

About you
• Electrical Fitter and Mechanic Licence
• Proven fault-finding experience on light and heavy mechanical equipment
• Strong focus on safety

Hours and Salary
Working in this team on the current roster a Mechanical Fitter Rollingstock Maintainer earns between $100,000 - $120,000 plus superannuation. This includes the allowances and penalty rates for weekend and afternoon/night shifts. Overtime is also available
