About the role
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor the purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient and safe operations of site wide electrical requirements.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Performing electrical maintenance across various mining-related areas, adhering to shift schedules and completing tasks as directed.
- Maintaining accurate job history notes and ensuring effective communication of work status and any incomplete tasks.
- Participating in condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, and ensuring all work has proper work order numbers and requisitions for spare parts.
- Using-provided tools carefully, reporting any damage, and ensuring necessary tooling and equipment are available.
- Complying with statutory and regulatory standards, conducting performance tests on equipment, and assisting with other trades when competent.

About you
The ideal candidate will hold relevant trade qualifications, and certification for HV Switching. You must have a Cert 3 or 4 in Instrumentation, an EEHA certificate, and an NSW Electrical license. You must have PLC exposure and understanding, particularly with Siemens. Additionally, a High-Risk Work License for EWP/Forklift, confined space certification, and a valid driving license are required. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in heavy industry maintenance and installation, preferably in gold mining, with specific experience in pumping systems and power generation. Experience in high voltage switching, permitting systems, and instrumentation competencies is essential. The role also requires strong adherence to safety standards, policies, and procedures, along with the ability to follow instructions, contribute to team success, and effectively cope with pressures and setbacks. Experience with variable speed drives, Yokogawa/Allen Bradley control systems, and paste plant maintenance is preferred.
