The Aurenne Group is a private company who acquired the historic Mt Ida - Bottle Creek gold field, 80 km west of Menzies in 2019.
Last mined by Norgold in the late 1980's and an following extensive resource definition drilling from 2017, a successful PFS and DFS, and the appointment last year of GR Engineering Services as the EPC contractor, the project has entered the construction phase to establish a 1.2 mtpa CIL gold plant by April next year. Mining operations, utilising a new owner fleet, will commence in October this year.
Aurenne is currently managing the installation of the non processing infrastructure including all construction facilities, water and power services, a 190 person Village, power station, site buildings, aerodrome and borefield and is now seeking suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic people to join the team.
About the role
Aurenne Group Mining is currently seeking to engage suitably qualified Mine Surveyors to join the team at Mt Ida being responsible for ensuring accurate set out and survey control of mining and geological operations, managing survey databases and monitoring pit development against plan.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
Undertake surveying works to support the Mt Ida project including:
all survey functions of the operation to ensure safe and efficient mining activities in a controlled manner.
Sets out and monitors design to ensure accurate excavation to meet targets and manages the mine surveying functions at the mine site.
Oversee the production of monthly operational movement volume calculations.
Maintains and update mine site layout and ensure accurate records and plans are maintained.
Maintains open pit wall, TSF and other site deformation monitoring data collection and equipment for that purpose.
Prepare procedures for all aspects of survey activities.
Prepare Government plans as per statutory requirements.
Manage all survey equipment, supplies and software, ensuring that they function and where applicable are calibrated/updated as per manufacturer's recommendation.
Qualifications & experience
Minimum 5 years Open Pit - Mine Surveying experience.
Bachelor/Advanced Diploma Surveying/Geodetic Engineering Degree.
Certified Mine Surveyor.
