We are currently accepting applications for the role of Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent at our Wilpinjong Mine. Our is an open-cut mine located approximately 50 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.
Reporting to the Mine Maintenance and Processing Manager, you will oversee routine maintenance as well as specified and/or general project work as required. You will be responsible for the maintenance of all fixed infrastructure across site, including the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant, Mine Infrastructure and general administration areas. In addition to this, you will also have responsibility for all construction activities such as erection of new administration buildings and workshop facilities. You will have four Maintenance Supervisors as your direct reports.
Duties will include:
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements and all Peabody site policies and procedures
- Delivery of a safe and healthy workplace and ensure all safety incidents and actions are closed out in a timely manner
- Ensure the delivery of effective maintenance planning, forecasting and budget outcomes
- Ensure all statutory inspections and maintenance tooling/safety equipment is maintained and periodic calibrations/inspections are recorded
- Develop a continuous improvement pipeline along with consistently delivering solutions that enhance business outcomes including where required working with OEMs and other Peabody sites
- Ensure machine health monitoring and assessment information is actioned to delivery machine and component life
- Minimise production downtime & scheduled maintenance through effective planning/delegation techniques
- Actively promote the four pillars of the Peabody Leadership Model (Inspire, Innovate, Execute, Collaborate)
This position is offered on a Monday to Friday roster and can allow for a residential lifestyle in nearby Mudgee district.
