In the role of Fleet Coordinator, you will be required to fully understand local / operational area and regional operational business needs and meet those plant requirements through consultation and negotiation with the Manager (Fleet), Resource Manager, Service Coordinator and other Fleet Coordinators.
The position will work towards continuous improvement in efficiency and productivity of equipment at all times within the operational business area. The Fleet Coordinator will ensure the plant fleet is operated safely and all relevant operator maintenance activities are undertaken in a manner that adheres to all RoadTek and Manufacturer guidelines.
Accountabilities include:
- In conjunction with the Resource Manager, analyse the Transport and Main Road's Infrastructure Regional Program and the RoadTek Operational Program and Business Plan to identify business plant requirements. Support the Resource Manager in ensuring the plant is managed across the operational area, in collaboration with the Plant Manager, to optimal operating levels. Liaise with other
- Regularly inspect plant to ensure conformity to legislation and ensure relevant NHVAS and FMMS (Fleet Maintenance Management system) are adhered to by the operational area.
- Use plant knowledge and technical information to promote the safe use of plant and act as a reference source for all technical matters in relation to plant and equipment for correct operation.
- Work closely with the Resource Manager to obtain information on equipment types when replacements are due.
- Possession of a LR, MR or HR driver's licence.
- Strong mechanical trade experience and a sound knowledge of Plant application.
