JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa is looking for enthusiastic Food & Beverage Attendant to join our fantastic F&B team at the Pool Bar on a part time basis.
About the role
You’re a food and beverage enthusiast who really enjoys making others feel at home. Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests in the pool area tables and sun lounges, and clear the tables and sun lounges once customers have finished eating/drinking. Answer questions on menu selections. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Record transactions in MICROS system at the time of order. Check-in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day including the bar, the tables, and sun lounges around the pool. Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. Present physical and accurate checks to guests and process payments. Collect unused towels from the sun lounges and around the pool. Re-stock towel towers and take soiled towels to the laundry.
Critical responsibilities:
Ensure efficient, friendly, and professional service is provided to all guests
Warmly welcome & serve our guests
Be an expert on the hotel, know it inside and out to ensure our guests receive a dynamic service experience
Meet & connect with our guests and give them an experience beyond their expectations
Assisting all guests with menu, dietary requirements, and recommendations
Ensuring accuracy with requests, orders, and service delivery
Use of POS system
Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
Ensuring all service areas are immaculate
Promoting safety and supporting WHS practices
Successful Candidates will have:
Previous experience in food & beverage service is a big plus
Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency Card (RSA)
Has a positive, can-do attitude
Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
Barista skills advantageous
Beverage knowledge desirable
Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
