At Blayney, we are looking to add a Food Safety Coordinator to the team. You will lead, and ensure effective implementation of, the Food Safety Management System; including coordination of supplier audits, facilitation of all HACCP studies, and compliance with Nestlé and regulatory standards related to food safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the verification of the Food Safety Management System to ensure compliance to FSSC 22000 requirements.
  • Ensure effective implementation of programs related to the FSMS; including, but no limited to, CCP validation and verification; allergen management program; compliance testing (NIP and contaminants) & Food Fraud management
  • HACCP: Lead the HACCP coordination ensuring that HACCP plans are correctly set-up and regularly reviewed. Ensure alignment between the HACCP studies and the QMS, & SAP inspection plan.
  • Coordinate the factory's internal audit programme. Coordinates, plans and participates in the supplier auditing program.
  • Support the NPD process through the risk assessment of new raw materials and processes (including SAP workflow and NPDI and ensuring completion of the HACCP.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Action Plan: ensures the performance of structured root cause analysis after incidents related to food safety failures have occurred.
  • Own and deliver HACCP and CCP training, and other training related to the FSMS, as required.
  • Actively participate in NCE & TPM pillars and activities, delivering to the requirements outlined in the methodology.

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science or related field of study
  • Demonstrated experience a quality specialist, preferably in HACCP.
  • Preferred 1 years’ experience within Nestlé.
  • Savvy with MS Office, SAP and other systems is a plus
  • Passionate about quality and product safety, and be a teacher to others
  • Able to work with colleagues through all levels of the business
  • Must be a self-starter and takes initiative
