Our St Luke's Aged Care located in Woolloongabba, offers a resident focused model of care, based on individual preferences and choices in a state-of-the-art facility. We are currently searching for motivated Food Services Assistants to join our team on a Casual or Part Time basis.
About your new role.
Our Food Services Assistants are responsible for assisting with food preparation, presentation, serving and clean-up of meals to our residents. They bring a strong commitment to customer service, food safety and an understanding of special dietary requirements that will have a positive impact on the wellbeing of our residents.
We are looking for individuals with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive and warm working relationships with residents and colleagues.
All about you
We are seeking kind and self-motivated people who have a passion for working with the elderly. Having come from a similar role within Hospitality, Aged Care or Health Services, you will demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience:
- Food Safety or Food Handling practices certificate (HLTFSE001 preferred) - can be obtained online prior to start date
- Prior cooking, baking and coffee machine experience – desirable
- Ability to prepare salads and sandwiches
- Sound commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- A great team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Willingness to learn new skills on the job
- A flexible approach to work and adaptable to fast a paced environment
- Availability to work over a 7 day roster
