About the role

Supports the Chef / Chef Manager and peers in delivering a high quality catering service within the home.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring the catering service is adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirement

Completing all appropriate food safety record forms as per legislation requirements.

Ensuring that all duties are worked in accordance with the Food Safety Program at all times

Ensuring uniforms, appropriate protective clothing and footwear is worn whilst in the workplace.

Follow strategies in the Food Safety Plan to prevent cross contamination from occurring.

Prepare daily meals including beverages for residents that meet the special dietary requirements as instructed by the Chef Manager or Chef/Cook.

What you bring

Follow Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate (Health Care Competencies)

Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role in residential care, health care or hospitality sectors.

Current National police check no disclosable outcomes

Current valid Australian work rights

COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt

Knowledge and experience in safe food handling

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
