About the Opportunity
Australian Agribusiness is currently seeking a permanent full-time Formulator to join the dedicated Accensi team at our Lara site. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day formulation of products with particular emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency and cleanliness.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
- Set up and operation of formulation and pack-off machinery safely and efficiently
- Following production orders and interpreting batch formulation requirements
- Measuring and charging raw materials in accordance with batch documentation
- Understanding and maintaining the fill and pack processes and quality requirements of product formulation at the site
- Submitting samples to the lab and performing QC checks
- The effective use of safety equipment and PPE as required
- Ensuring work areas are tidy and clean at all times
- Reporting of any plant problems that may occur
- Supporting a continuous improvement mindset and contributing to changes that improve efficiency in the manufacturing environment
About You
The successful candidate will possess:
- Minimum – High school certificate Year 10 or Tafe equivalent
- Cert 3 in Manufacturing or above (preferred but not essential)
- Direct experience within a manufacturing environment and packing lines
- Direct experience in formulation (highly desirable)
- Strong numeracy aptitude and ability to problem solve
- Experience handling dangerous goods and hazardous substances (preferred)
- Basic computer literacy (preferred)
- Results oriented, takes the initiative, and makes things happen, with a commitment to meeting targets and deadlines without compromising safety or quality.
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact positively with all levels of the workforce, operational staff and management.
