About The Role
The Foster Care Case Manager will utilise a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support young people who are unable to live with their birth families.
As part of your responsibilities, you will undertake comprehensive assessments to develop, implement, monitor, and review their client plan and outcomes that identify strengths as well as areas of risk, ensuring children and young people are actively engaged in the process.
Working collaboratively across the agency and with external colleagues to support the young people is central to the role's success.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary qualification in Human Services or Social Sciences or similar.
- Sound knowledge and experience in child, youth, and family services, specifically PSP and OOHC.
- Ability to work with carers and birth families and build relationships
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks and standards relevant to the children and young persons Act and OGC guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to provide advice, support, coaching, mentoring, and training to staff and be involved in the day to day case-plans.
- Ability to manage risk and build robust case plans
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to travel within a designated area to ensure equitable support of children and their families/carers
