YOUR NEW ROLE
The Foundations & Trusts Manager plays a critical part delivering the Opera House’s Private Funding program through:
- Managing and collaborating on significant aspects of a comprehensive corporate and philanthropic Foundations & Trusts growth and stewardship program that enables the Private Funding team to deliver on its multi-year financial commitment to support the strategic objectives and advocacy of the Opera House, and
- Developing and implementing the reporting, acquittal and financial processes that enable the Foundations and Trusts program to operate efficiently and effectively and provide accountability and transparency about the program to the Opera House Executive and to grant makers
ARE YOU THE ONE?
We are looking for someone with:
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience in roles with comparable responsibility.
- Demonstrated success in Foundations & Trusts prospecting, stewardship and/or customer engagement operations.
- Superlative data management, financial management, and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and streams of work simultaneously and effectively, and to address the needs of stakeholders while meeting deadlines in a results-driven environment.
- A strategic self-starter, able to set own priorities, work independently, and exercise appropriate initiative under broad direction from management.
- Able to negotiate conflicting priorities, use flexibility in problem solving, and work collaboratively across teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Articulate, with excellent oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with clear ethical standards and ability to deal appropriately with the confidentiality and privacy issues associated with donors. Strong influencing, interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders whilst representing the values of the Sydney Opera House.
- Professional, sophisticated, and welcoming to external and internal stakeholders, able to represent the Opera House to the required standard in those dealings, even under pressure.
