Our business is stable and growing. 2020-22 has seen a huge increase in activity as homeowners turn to us for information about the property market and Jacinta is expanding her selling team with a fourth person. 

You will be helping local families with their biggest financial transactions. Our team appreciates how stressful this is for both sellers and buyers, especially families. Your work will directly impact their experience ensuring it runs as smoothly as possible.

 The Challenge 
 
You’ve probably heard that real estate has the highest-paid sales staff, so no wonder the role attracts the very best people. However, listing real estate is far from easy; the survival rate of people starting in sales roles is less than 10% after two years.

Why is this? 

Guiding people through the most important financial decision many will ever make ie selling their own home, demands a certain type of person with highly tuned selling skills. While great agents make this look simple; if you’ve ever looked at homes for sale you’ll know there are loads of people who just don’t have it in them.

Team Selling

More than a group with the same purpose Jacinta has developed a selling methodology where all members have a role to play in every property we sell. For you, this means the time to perfect every part of the selling process while sharing in the success and recognition of the team from day one.

This also gives each team member work-life flexibility to manage time around big life events and take real holidays knowing that the homeowners are receiving a consistent level of service.

 

Our selection process

We plan for success, not failure, which is why we only start people whom we believe have the in-built qualities of an effective salesperson specifically for the real estate industry.  The complexity of real estate sales requires extensive and finely tuned sales skills quite different to other sales jobs. 

The first part of this process is the careful selection of staff to join our team using a sales-specific selection system called Sales Inventory Profile (SIP) which identifies if you have the inherent ability to sell, even if you have no prior sales experience and this skill is currently dormant. We won’t let you give up your current role just to ‘have a go’. If we offer you a role it will be because we can see you have the right ingredients needed to list and sell real estate.

 

 Full training and support

The second part of your success is an immediate and continuous commitment to training. This starts with Ken who will personally train and guide you through the administration, CRM and marketing systems we use. Ken will also help you complete your Real Estate Certificate of Registration if you haven’t already done this so you can start interacting with the public independently.

Next is selling-specific training and that starts with learning to prospect. This is the first and foundational skill for sales success. We will teach you various process that best suit new contact with homeowners, following up with recent buyers and market updates to our database. 

The sales training will be provided by a combination of experts in the real estate training field as well as a sale coach who works regularly with our team.  We also use a variety of online resources to continuously evolve our effectiveness. 

You will attend also have the opportunity to attend various industry events and courses like Lee Woodward’s renowned ‘The Complete Salesperson’ two-day workshop to add to your marketing, listing and selling skills. We often cover your travel and accommodation costs.

As a proud member of the First National group of offices, we also have access to a wide range of online training materials and we regularly bring in specialists’ trainers and consultants.

 

Professional Leadership

Taking over the business in 2009 as joint directors are Jacinta and Ken Purvis. Returning to their rural roots to raise their children they have focused on creating a sustainable business that maximises available technology to provide a consistently high level of service to homeowners, buyers and tenants alike.

Jacinta is our Principal and sales leader. Ken is concerned with managing the support and Property Management staff, as well as providing administrative support to the sales team. Together they have researched and tested every emerging technology and compared an impressive list of providers to settle on the systems they believe give the best results in the most practical way possible. In choosing the systems they have considered both the ease of use for staff and functionality.
