We're currently searching for a qualified and hard-working Fruit Fly Murray Valley Regional Coordinator to join our organisation in a temporary, full-time capacity up to and 30 June 2025.

- This role allows for flexible working arrangements and as part of the package, Council will also provide relocation assistance to help support a move to the region.

Position objectives
The Regional Coordinator will be responsible for:
- The overall goal of the Regional Coordinator is to deliver the Fruit Fly Murray Valley Regional Strategy 2021-2025 and associated Action Plan to improve Queensland fruit fly (QFF) management under the Agriculture Victoria – Victorian Fruit Fly Strategy grants program.
- The Regional Coordinator is responsible for the effective management, direction and activities delivered in accordance with the policies of the MRCC.
- In conjunction with the Environmental Sustainability Coordinator, The Regional Coordinator is to ensure the Fruit Fly Murray Valley Regional Advisory Group is informed in a pro-active manner about the progress of the delivery of the Fruit Fly Murray Valley Regional Strategy 2021-2025 and associated Action Plan.
- The Regional Coordinator, with support from the Environmental Sustainability Coordinator, is responsible for meeting contractual requirements, including financial management and ensuring correct execution of all relevant documents.
- Qualifications and experience
- Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- Tertiary Qualifications in a related field of agriculture/horticulture, biosecurity or science and relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience in a related field such as project management.
- Appropriate experience in a role working with a Committee (or Board).
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation and its application.
- Experience with managing Government funding agreements.
- Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
Salary and conditions
The position is classified within Band 7 of Council’s current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $95,522.04 to $108,041.44 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
