Salary range 70,000 – 75,000 plus super
We are looking for a friendly and energetic Full Time Chef to join us in our location in Altona. From pizzas to amazing service you'll be responsible for assisting us in bringing our product to life in ways that are truly inspiring.
What we are looking for:
Relevant Qualifications as a Chef
Relevant (at least one year) hospitality experience preferably in an Italian Restaurant
Outgoing and approachable personality
Able to perform well under pressure
Ability to multitask and work in a really fast paced environment
Intermediate English skills
Good communication skills and great ability to manage a team
Happy and outgoing personality and a can do attitude
Must be able and willing to work rotating roster including weekend & public holidays
What you will do:
Lead a team in the head chef's absence
Co-ordinate daily tasks with kitchen staff
Work collaboratively with the head chef in menu planning & design
Demonstrated ability of knowledge of standard procedures relating to equipment handling, safety, hygiene, food preparation
Commitment to food safety legislation and HACCP
Supervise junior staff
Understanding of rostering, food costs, wage percentages
