Hanrob Pet Hotels’ original and largest pet boarding facility in Heathcote, NSW are currently accepting expressions of interest for a Full-Time Dog Training Internship.
This is a paid internship for 12 months in which you will work with our highly accomplished Dog Training Team at our Heathcote facility on a full-time basis, gaining essential hands-on skills and experience during the day, while simultaneously completing the nationally accredited ACM30122 Certificate III in Animal Care Services through Hanrob College. This PetSkills Internship Program will provide you with essential and current training and work accountabilities in your work role within Dog Training, animal welfare and behaviour, WHS, customer service, animal care, enrichment, animal first aid, animal nutrition and exercise, conditioning, and grooming. Working within our Pet Hotels gives you the opportunity to study, learn, work, and develop hands-on skills under the mentorship of highly-qualified Dog Training Professionals.
Participation in Online College Tutorials is required for one evening per week for approximately one hour in addition to the required readings and assessment tasks across the 17 units of study.
Position Details:
Position Title: Dog Training Intern
Hourly Rate: $24.08 plus penalties
Weekly Hours: 38 hours of work, plus 2-3 hours of tutorials and study per week
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday from 8am to 4pm
Peak Periods: Must be available to work in the lead up to, and during, school holidays (inc. Christmas and Easter)
As an intern at Hanrob, you will receive hands-on experience working with a variety of dogs, learning effective training techniques, and understanding the nuances of animal behaviour. Our comprehensive training program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the field of Dog Training.

Step 2: Hands-on Animal Handling Assessment with our Heathcote Dog Training Team.
