Job description

The role of an Engineering Technologists plays a versatile role that involves contributing to multiple aspects of engineering projects. Analysing and modifying new and existing engineering technologies and applying them in the testing and implementation of engineering projects. This is a full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable person.
The responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with engineers in planning and executing engineering projects and overseeing and providing renewal processes for collaboration between production teams.
  • Assist in project management tasks, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Managing commissioning, decommisioning and asset integrity projects for Azelis facilities, focusing on safety, compliance, technical requirements, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead projects involving decommissioning, infrastructure, maintenance, and fixed plant operations, ensuring compliance with Australian SHEQ principles and adherence to deadlines.
  • Implement asset integrity projects for Azelis facilities.
  • Implementing and digital engage new systems tools.
  • Managing feasibility studies and provide input during the design phase.
  • Perform tests on finished products, and systems to QA/QC control for sustainability, and reliability.
  • Analyse test data and provide recommendations for efficiency.
  • Analyse demand, performance forecasting and demand planning.
  • Analyse numerical data to draw meaningful conclusions, supporting manufacturing methods to maximize efficiency and minimise cost of operations.
  • Provide technical insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Conduct inspections and participate in quality assurance activities.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during production development and operation.
  • Managing ISO Tank rotation operations, calculating optimum numbers, leading rotation plans, handling technical reporting, import and export operations and liaising with 3PL stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements to optimise ISO Tanks operations to sustain effectiveness and meet production demands.
  • Collaborate with the team to find practical solutions to challenges.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of engineering activities, including specifications, test results, and project documentation.
  • Monitoring stock levels and manage demand planning of raw materials in chemical distribution operations by employing forecasting and numerical analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external use, including overseas documentation for import processes, purchase orders, and transfers of receipts.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and other professionals, to achieve project goals.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among team members.
  • Driving process improvement and implement new digital projects in supply chain operations using cost analysis, data analysis, process optimization, and linear programming applications.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements and industry trends.
  • Attend training sessions and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Handling purchasing activities, stakeholder management, and negotiations with chemical raw material suppliers.
  • Read project plans and source technologies to aid production.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to team members, stakeholders, and management, providing regular updates on progress of projects and addressing inquiries.
  • Follow the company's OHS policies, processes, and procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • A Bachelor degree or higher qualification commensurate to the skill level of the occupation.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience preferred in similar field.
  • Sound knowledge of working in project management, production operation and/or manufacturing materials for production line.
