About the Division
The Information Management and Technology Division (IMTD) guides the Departments' digital capability and is leading digital transformation for the Department including Victorian government schools. The Division architects, manages and supports the largest technology network in Victoria, supporting a user base of approximately 750,000 staff and students.
IMTD provides innovation and leadership in the transformation and management of the Department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security, and integration.
This role will be located in Melbourne, CBD.
About the Role
The purpose of the role is to Functional Analyst Salesforceis to bridge the gap between the experience designers' output and the architect's technical and business designs to support the delivery of Salesforce solutions. In the context of the Enterprise Platform strategy, they will provide specific knowledge of platform capabilities and functions that are out of the box from Salesforce. The Senior Analyst – Salesforce will develop, manage and refine a series of processes, templates and frameworks that support the teams understanding and capability and exhibit effective communication and stakeholder management skills as well as strong analytic skills.
This includes:
- leading negotiations with the business for the compromise of business processes with out of the box functionality;
- applying analysis to complex business problems to identify solutions;
- leading the interpretation of business requirements, processes, and objectives based on user journeys and pain points and translating them into functional specifications and other documents that can be implemented by technical teams; and
- providing leading input on system design, data structures, user interfaces and other technical aspects, through collaboration with product development and architecture teams; and
- prioritising business optimisation through tools and techniques from the Salesforce platform that lead to overall transformation.
- Experience as a Functional Analyst for a mid-large sized organisation
- Experience in technical working experience with the Salesforce platform
- Deep, product-specific experience relating to how product components can deliver business capabilities, utilising out-of-the-box functionality.
- Demonstrated experience in applying Salesforce knowledge to support strong functional design and deliver innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in staying up to date with product releases from Salesforce.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating with the business on processes to utilise out-of-the-box functionality or pre-configured modules and deliver cost effective Salesforce solutions.
- Demonstrable experience in analysis and solution design on high profile ICT projects with complex process, data flow and logic.
- Demonstrable experience in selecting, adopting and adapting appropriate analysis methods, tools and techniques including the integration of specific Salesforce knowledge such as pre-configured modules.
- Contemporary experience in business and functional analysis models as they apply within an agile product development methodology
