Raise Foundation’s Intent is to offer early intervention, evidence-based mentoring for young people in high schools with trained and trusted independent adults. The Fundraising Director will motivate, support and lead Raise Foundation’s Fundraising Team to achieve significant growth in current financial support from their strategic partners, including corporate, private philanthropy, community and government, to meet youth mentoring targets in a strategic growth environment. This role will manage the Fundraising Team and work closely with major external stakeholders and internal teams, including the Board, Fundraising Advisory Council, Executive Leadership Team and Raise staff.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will develop and deliver the fundraising strategy to meet individual and collective fundraising targets. You will lead the Fundraising Team to deliver campaigns and activities including corporate and government partnerships, major gifts, community campaigns, bequests, grants, workplace giving and events. You will manage activities end-to-end, looking for opportunities to increase income, cultivating relationships and reporting on progress. You are a leader who can create and nurture a high performing team, a shared sense of achievement and clear communication. You will help refresh or develop collateral and communications for donors, collaborating with other teams to meet engagement plans. This role will be adept at analysing issues, trends and evidence to perform best practice activities and realise growth.

About YOU

• Tertiary qualifications in business management, sales, commerce, marketing or equivalent,
• Prior experience in a high-growth not-for-profit and proven track record delivering fundraising targets and growth,
• Developed stakeholder or partnership management and development skills, including long-term relationship building, communication skills and an understanding of materials made for donors,
• Outstanding presentation and public speaking skills, and the power to persuade and influence diverse groups,
• A donor-focused approach and the ability to plan, prospect, engage and secure significant funding,
• Highly developed skills in Microsoft Office365, CRM such as Salesforce and cloud-based systems,
• An excellent organiser, experienced team leader and promoter of best practice and ethical fundraising,
• A collaborative, inclusive and supportive style of leading, with transparent, open and authentic communication,
• FIA membership and qualifications are highly desirable,
• Possess a genuine passion for supporting young people, and commitment to the Intent, Impact and Aspiration.

The chosen candidate must pass Youth Safety and National Crime Checks and hold a current Working with Children (Employee) Check.
