About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this we are seeking an experienced Future Asset Planner to join our team. The role of Future Asset Planner will focus on creating the best outcomes for our spaces and places through planning, designing, and delivering social, community, and recreation infrastructure for future generations.
Your job will be to coordinate the strategic infrastructure planning and asset management of the Council's social infrastructure within the Liveable Communities asset objectives. You will also support the development of Council's social infrastructure Asset Management Policies, strategies, and plans as part of Council's Resourcing, Strategy, Delivery Program, and Operational Plan. For the role you will need to be organised with high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and ability to understand and apply WHS principles.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management /Planning or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in coordinating asset management, strategic infrastructure planning for social infrastructure projects.
On a typical day this role will:
- Coordinate the strategic infrastructure planning and asset management of the Council's social infrastructure within the Liveable Communities asset objectives.
- Develop a program of projects to support Future Asset planning.
- Work across the organisation to ensure social infrastructure is considered in all Council planning.
- Prioritise tasks and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinking and data analysis to determine future needs of the community.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $79,370 to $89,319 depending on skills and experience

The Liveable Communities Team is about connecting with the community including all residents and visitors to ensure that the Port Macquarie Hastings region is an inclusive and vibrant place for everyone. This group is comprised of our LGA community engagement, library services, education, recreation planning and delivery, community building/facilities, culture and community inclusion.
