The Role
Reporting to the Open Spaces Team Leader, you will undertake activities that will assist in the maintenance of Council’s Open Space including horticultural and arboricultural works to passive parks, streetscapes, tree operations, recreation facilities, bushland, and riparian areas.
About You
You will have well developed customer service skills, written communication, interpersonal and verbal communication, be accurate with attention to detail, and have initiative to identify and contribute to process improvement.
Essential Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in Horticulture or equivalent with relevant experience in parks maintenance and enhancement, and arboriculture
Class C Drivers Licence, White Card, and Chemical Application Certificate
Sound knowledge of horticulture, arboriculture, and understanding of the Pesticide Act
Good understanding of plants and implements use, including lawn maintenance and improvements
Experience with chainsaw use and valid certificate is highly desirable
