About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Gardener/Maintenance officer to join our Sunshine Coast Home Care team. As a reliable and skilled Maintenance Officer, you will ensure that our community is provided with efficient and customer-focused service. The role requires daily travel as you will be providing services to our clients all over the Sunshine Coast, and as such good communication and compassion are important.
The types of services you will provide includes:
- Mowing, fertilising, pruning, and garden rubbish removal,
- Maintaining an inventory and preventative maintenance schedule of mowers, whipper snippers, and all motorised garden equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations;
- Completing and updating records using Procura, the organisation's client reporting and recording system (training will be provided).
- Monday to Friday work, with no night or weekend work;
- A fully maintained work vehicle (no private use);
- All tools and equipment will be provided.
About you
You are an experienced, highly organised Maintenance Officer with a proven capability to self-manage and prioritise. Your excellent communication skills and compassionate nature will allow you to build relationships with our much-loved clients as you resolve gardening and maintenance issues as they arise. Your green thumb and love for the outdoors will enable you to make a positive impact in our clients' lives.
To be successful in this role your skills knowledge and experience will include:
- Applied knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements, or the ability to acquire within one month of employment;
- Demonstrated experience in a handyman/maintenance role;
- Current driver's licence;
- Home and/or garden maintenance certificate would be an advantage;
- National Police Certificate or the ability to acquire.
