Learn2fly Canberra is looking for a CASA and RAAus LAME to establish a new light aircraft maintenance facility. The facility is a blank canvas looking for a LAME to set up and deliver much needed support to aviation in the region.
You’ll be working with Telstra ACT business of the year innovators, maintaining our fleet of training and charter aircraft. You’ll also be helping local and regional aircraft owners and operators with their needs. You will help develop procedures, products, and select appropriate and modern tooling.
Ideally you’ll be a driven engineer who works well to create innovative solutions to problems. You’ll have licence coverage for single and light twin piston aircraft (B1) and be keen to develop the next generation of engineers through mentoring and training programs. If you are keen to learn to fly then we will assist you on that journey, helping you to combine your skills in maintenance with your passion for aviation.
Licensing and experience in rotax engines, air conditioning, pressurisation, gas turbine engines and even avionics will be highly valued but not all necessarily required. Experience with aero track or other maintenance systems will also be valued. Training will be offered to help build your professional skills as needed.
