About the Opportunity
An excellent career opportunity is now available for a General Farm Hand to join a family owned and managed dryland cropping and cattle breeding business located 70 km north of Clermont, Queensland.
Working in a supportive environment and reporting to the Farm Owner your new role will provide valuable day-to-day assistance with all ongoing dryland farming and livestock activities. This hands-on role is ideally suited to candidates with good farming knowledge; able to set-up, operate and maintain large late model machines, whilst competently performing all broadacre operations un-supervised.

- Very comfortable modern air-conditioned two bedroom cottage for small family/couple/single is provided
- Primary School conveniently located only 15 km from farm
- Late model tractors, spray rig and header all with auto steer
- Be passionate and enthusiastic about the agricultural industry
- Be able to participate as a member of the team and contribute to the overall achievement of the properties objectives
- Ability to competently operate late model farming machinery for all aspects of broadacre crop production
- Understanding of low stress stock handling principles and animal husbandry skills and/or willingness to learn
- MC truck licence beneficial but not essential
- Good workshop skills with knowledge of fabrication
- Current vehicle licence
- Operation of late model farm machinery and earthmoving equipment including tractors, header, spray rig and dozer
- Operation of road train to local facilities
- General servicing and routine maintenance of farm machinery, plant and equipment
- Assist with property maintenance, repair and installation of new fencing and water infrastructure
- Assist with all day to day livestock activities in line with industry recognised best management practices
