General Manager at Lord Stanley Hotel!
Salary 80-100K (commensurate on experience and ability)
Are you a driven Restaurant Manager who is passionate about delivering a great customer service experience every time? Or a hands-on Hotel Manager who prefers to work the floor than sit in an office?
The iconic Lord Stanley Hotel at East Brisbane is under new management and we’re looking for the right person to lead a small team with a strong food background. The venue boasts a 200 seat restaurant / casual dining area, Bar Area, function room, Beer Garden and an intimate gaming room with 40 of the latest machines and links. Very close to the “Gabba” and enjoys large event day custom.
Currently has a DA application approved and is likely to undergo a large scale renovation within 12 months, during which time you will remain employed to assist in guiding the team through the staged program and hire/train new team member to open the new hotel.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business with a focus on:
- Driving sales through excellence in customer service across all areas of the business;
- Building a team of "service super-stars" through coaching and mentoring of all front-line staff;
- Developing relationships with the local area to build a regular customer-base;
- Implement approved promotions and marketing;
- Rostering according to business needs;
- Human resource management;
- Maintaining compliance and adherence to all legislative requirements (OLGR, OH&S etc.) and company policies;
- Stock and Cash Control including weekly stocktakes;
- RMLV Certificate and Approved Manager Licence (or willingness to obtain);
- Gaming Nominee Licence (or willingness to obtain).
This position would suit an experienced Restaurant Manager or Duty Manager looking to expand on their current skills or a Senior Assistant Manager looking for an opportunity to make their mark on the Brisbane pub scene. You will be able to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends, with the majority of your time spent working on the floor to ensure standards are maintained.
