With over 600 projects having been delivered globally and currently having over 90 long-term operation and maintenance agreements in place, Osmoflo is now searching for a recognised industry leader to fill the critical role of General Manager, Projects & Production.

ABOUT THE GENERAL MANAGER, PROJECTS & FABRICATION

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key player in Osmoflo’s Executive Management Team responsible for managing and overseeing all engineering, production and fabrication, stores and procurement, site delivery/installation and commissioning functions through to final practical completion and operational handover for Osmoflo’s Australia Hub and support the same for Dubai Hub and Rest-of-World Hub projects as required from time to time. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all Osmoflo projects are delivered on schedule and within budget to a high quality and maintaining a high level of safety and customer satisfaction. Key tasks include project performance via continuous improvement, management of current project and production teams and the support of tender processes to drive cost efficiency, business growth and improvements in quality. You will also ensure project and fabrication personnel are working safely, in accordance with business policies and procedures for health, safety and the environment.

The key responsibilities for the position are as follows:
As a member of Osmoflo’s Executive Management Team, play a key role in contributing to the monitoring and oversight of overall business performance and strategic planning for organic and inorganic growth, including the seamless integration of acquired businesses, if and as required.
Prepare and deliver presentations to Osmoflo’s Board and shareholder as requested by the CEO from time to time.
Provide overall management and leadership of all project and fabrication activities including providing oversight to JV and strategic partnering arrangements and ensuring that all Divisional activities are compliant with the organisations ISO-certified management systems with a target of zero harm at all times
Ensure Divisional personnel provide timely, cost effective and customer focused services to the projects group by managing departmental activity, monitoring individual performance and seeking feedback from customers
Drive an innovative and lean production culture to achieve continual process improvements and efficiency's.
Oversee commercial and contractual compliance of projects, monitor performance of each project and provide effective leadership and guidance to project teams to take appropriate action.
Review project scopes of works and ensure appropriate collaboration of engineering, projects and fabrications teams with respect to design development and review to ensure projects meet contractual requirements and Omoflo’s own standards and ISO-certified certified systems.
Drive effective collaboration between, engineering, design, proposals and fabrication to review product design and recommend improvements that will increase customer satisfaction and reduce materials/production costs
Work collaboratively with the GM Sales to ensure tenders are appropriately resourced and reviewed according to Osmoflo’s bid management framework to maximise chances of tender success and to minimise delivery risks.
Work collaboratively with the GM Operations to ensure all projects for which Osmoflo has an ongoing operations and maintenance obligation are handed over efficiently and seamlessly
Support project delivery and fabrication activities for Dubai Hub and Rest-of-World Hub projects as required from time to time

The key knowledge and experience required:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Project Management or related discipline
MBA / Master of Project Management will be highly regarded
Minimum 15 years of management experience within water treatment, resources, utility, general construction or a related industry
Impeccable people leadership and communication skills, independent thinking coupled with high levels of organisational and planning experience
Demonstrated experience in leading fabrication / manufacturing teams preferably water treatment plant / equipment
Previous experience successfully overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of major and complex industrial projects (preferably water treatment projects) in Australia and/or overseas including projects with individual capital value up to A $50M+
Excellent knowledge of strategic planning, end-to-end business processes, particularly relating to the engineering, planning, procurement and contracting for highly complex technical plants
Contract Management and commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to interpret and understand complex contracts and commercial terms and conditions
