As the health and community service provider of the Uniting Church they have supported Queensland communities for over 100 years. Their 15 000 staff and 9 000 volunteers care for and support people from all walks of life, including older people, people with a disability, children, families, and Indigenous people.

About the role
Reporting to the Group Executive Governance, the role is responsible for the enterprise-wide development, implementation and maintenance of risk management and internal audit frameworks, processes and systems.
You will ensure the presence of robust risk and control systems, enabling the continuous monitoring of strategic and operational risks while providing advice on specific risk management matters coupled with the appropriate and timely audits of governance, internal control, and compliance systems.
As a member of the leadership team, you will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, providing leadership and oversight for incident management, complaints, risk management, and internal audit technology solutions.
Additionally, you will maximise synergies across UnitingCare as a single integrated organisation to enhance service delivery and business performance.
About the person
With demonstrated experience in compiling and presenting accurate and timely reports to Board and various Executive Committees, you will have significant experience in a senior risk and assurance management position either in an accounting firm or mid to large organisation.
Your strong communication, reasoning and stakeholder management skills will be coupled with strong strategic capability and expert knowledge in strategic risk management.
