Geophysical Field Technician – Australian Geophysical Service Pty Ltd
- Full time casual (contract) position, and
- Wage $25-$35 per hour, for a 10-hour day and dependent on experience.
Australia Geophysical Services is a young, innovative enterprise located in Brisbane, Australia, specializing in the acquisition of high-quality geophysical data across a variety of fields in a variety of locations.
Qualifications & experience
Please note there are no actual formal trade qualifications required, only that's listed below;
- Proficient in driving a 4WD vehicle, towing a trailer & operating an all-terrain vehicle
- Current Driver's License
- Being willing to work and travel away from home
- Demonstrated experience and skills in the safe operation of equipment & vehicles (including ATVs)
- Ability to perform mechanical maintenance on vehicles, ATV's and trailers
- Ability to conduct minor electrical repairs
The Geophysical Field Technician is essentially responsible for the day-to-day execution of geophysical surveys: digging of electrode pits; the layout / wind up of wire; and walking and working in challenging terrains in demanding climates, often remotely.
