What you will do:
- Receive foundational development and training in the world of acoustics
- Assist in the preparation of deliverables for environmental, infrastructure, and buildings projects
- Analyse data and understand relevance, conduct calculations to evaluate options
- Organise equipment and undertake site measurements of real-world acoustics in buildings and the external environment
About you:
You will need to be analytical, curious, and passionate about continuing your learning. We acknowledge that Acoustics is a specialised discipline, and our team draws people from a wide range of technical backgrounds. We are experienced in supporting candidates with the right mindset to transition into our field.
Some areas of educational overlap in recently successful graduate consultants have included:
- Architecture – Acoustic design for buildings and spaces
- Electrical – Electroacoustics, Digital Signal Processing
- Mechanical – Noise control for building services systems
- Civil – Geographic Information Systems
- Structural – Building vibration
- Environmental – Noise impact on the community
This role with suit someone who is passionate about sound, music, audio, noise, or vibration, with a desire to learn and develop these foundational skills. You will also need to be comfortable engaging with clients and collaborators, partnering with them to understand their needs.
